CBSE Board Exam Paper Pattern, Class XII:
📘 1. How many exams / papers are there for CBSE Class 12 Maths?
For CBSE Class 12 Mathematics (standard):
✔️ You take one main board exam in the subject.
✔️ The paper is for 80 marks and is written in one sitting (offline, pen-and-paper).
✔️ Time duration is 3 hours.
✔️ There is only one paper – unlike some courses that have theory + practical; maths doesn’t have a separate practical paper.
📌 In short: You write one Class 12 Maths board paper.
📄 2. What is the structure/pattern of this single Maths paper?
The paper has 38 questions divided into 5 sections:

Section A — 18 MCQs

Assertion-Reason — 2 questions

Section B — Very short answer type questions

Section C — Short answer type questions

Section D — Long answer type questions

Section E — Case-study based / source-based problems
All sections are compulsory and internal choices may be there in some questions.
